For as he thinketh in his heart so is he (Proverbs 23:7)
It is mentioned in Genesis 26-27:1 that God created man in his own image and
after his likeness. This is a mind boggling and astounding statement. God who is
the creator of whole universe created during the first 5 days of the week from
the condition of utter darkness in ciaos which prevailed planet earth, the sun
and the moon and all the living creatures during the first 5 days, and on the
6th day he created man in his own image and after his likeness. At the end of
each day, when he saw what he had created he said that it was good. But yet he
was not fully satisfied until he created man in his own image and after his
likeness. There is a common saying Like father like son. God wanted a living
being just like him in terms of all of his attributes and characteristics, and
for the man to love and to have fellowship with him.
God has created man with his own characteristics and nature as listed below, and
it is important that we recognize this and develop all these characteristics to
the maximum extent and use them in order to have real fulfillment in life and to
realize our full potential.
God is love and God has given us the capacity to love God and all men
God has given us the ability to interact and have fellowship with God and with
all men
God has given the attribute of creativity so that we may conceptualize and
design new things which will give us joy, pleasure and value
God has given authority to man to exercise dominion over the entire world and
all the living creatures upon it
God has given the ability to man to be fruitful in terms of producing Good
results
God has given the ability to man to multiply and replenish the earth
Therefore, it is important that we recognize these incredible characteristics of
God which have been given to us so that we may fully develop them and use them
to the fullest extent for our own benefit and for fulfilling God will upon the
earth!!!!!!
