"Pleasure in Creativity"
by Dr. John Williams, IICM
And God called the dry land earth and the gathering together
of waters called he seas; and God saw "it was good" (Genesis 1:10)
In the whole chapter of Genesis Chapter 1, we read about the way God created
different things everyday such as, the sky, the seas, the earth, the grass, the
herb, the fruit bearing trees, the sun and the moon, the stars, the moving
creatures, the whales and the fish, the fowls, the cattle, the beast, etc., and
after creating something everyday when he looked at it, he said that "it was
good".
Our God is a creator. He himself said at the end of everyday that what he
created was good. We have to know that the greatest joy that we can have in our
life also, is in innovating and creating something new, because there is joy in
creation.
God has given us his mind and the capability to imagine, conceive, design and
develop something new or one of its kind, using our creative ability or the
characteristic of creativity which is God's inherent quality. I would challenge
every reader to use this greatest attribute God has given us, in developing or
doing something new, innovative and creative every day, using our potential and
rejoice over it, thanking the Lord for giving us the very nature of God, which
is creative because he is the creator.
