Daily Meditation – January 8, 2006

And God said, let us make man in our own image, after our likeness…….. (Genesis 1:26)

This is a statement that God made before creating the first man Adam.

· It is like having his own children.
· He did not want man to be any inferior than God himself.
· He was willing to share with man unequivocally every thing that he had and that he was.
· Before creating man he created all the living creatures with certain characteristics and abilities.

Finally God decided to and he did create man in his own image and after his likeness which means that he gave man the ability

To grow in his knowledge
To grow in his wisdom
To have his power to exercise dominion over the world
To multiply and replenish the earth
To subdue the earth to acquire all the wealth and possessions
To occupy any territory
To grow in love to the extent of even loving ones enemy
To grow in riches with no limits whatsoever
To be able to create anything that ones mind could imagine

It is regrettable that man does not even know his potential which is the ability to grow in the image and likeness of God, who is the creator and the controller of the whole universe. We should be able to likewise create our own kingdom as per our desire without any limitation whatsoever.

Unfortunately many people do not recognize and realize the innate abilities and unlimited potential they have to have and, to have whatever they want to have, and to be whatever they want to be!

We can be what we desire to be; we can do what we desire to do; we can achieve what we want to achieve; and we can create what we want to create. It is unfortunate that most of the people living on this earth, are ignorant of this fact and they are living a life which is way below their potential, their privileges and their preferences!
