"We are Healed"

But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our inequities,
the chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed  (Isaiah 53:5)

1. Isaiah wrote this verse prophetically several thousand years before the birth, sufferings and death of Jesus Christ. Even thought Jesus was not born when Isaiah wrote this verse, he writes in a language as though what he writes in the scripture has happened already and this reflects his confidence, surety and faith in what the Holy Spirit revealed to him in his spirit about the Messiah, Jesus, was going to be born may be after a few thousand years later to pay a ransom for the sins of the world, not only to redeem them, but also to pay a penalty of receiving stripes on his body for people to be healed. It is also interesting to note that he writes at the end of this verse in the present tense that “We are healed”, while he says in past tense that he was wounded for our transgressions is something interesting to note. This reflects the tremendous faith he had about the coming of the Lord and the price he was going to pay our redemption from sin and for our healing.

2. So far as we are concerned, we have the double advantage of not only knowing what was written prophetically about the birth, suffering, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, but also to know what exactly happened when Jesus was born as a man in this world. What he really went through, how he paid a ransom for our sins and for our healing. Therefore, there should not be any question or doubt whatsoever so far as we are concerned, when it comes to the forgiveness of the Lord for our sins and the healing of our bodies when it comes to sickness.

3. Interestingly or sadly I had ulcer for several years and I had to restrict my diet, and to take some antacid tablets. But one day when I read this scripture the Lord gave me a revelation which totally changed my attitude, and faith, and I was able to immediately accept the fact that I have been healed already 2000 years ago when Jesus received stripes on his back for my healing. When I received this rhema revelation of this powerful truth and fact, I instantly believed and received healing and declared it by my mouth by my faith. It also dawned on me that if Jesus had received stripes on his back for my healing, if he has borne my grieves and sorrows, why should I carry it now. When I told my wife not to make any special diet for me anymore because I was healed of ulcer spontaneously she asked me this question. When were you healed? I said, I was healed 2 thousand years ago, but Satan had blinded my eyes spiritually until today. The same day I believed I was really healed and had no more symptoms or pain until now for a period little over 40 years.

4. If God has promised and further if he has paid a price to appropriate that promise we should believe it, accept it and receive it !!!!!!!
