"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life"

THE STORY OF NICODEMUS:

There was a Pharisees, named Nicodemus, who was a ruler of the Jews. He came to Jesus one night, and said that, He must be a teacher come from God, because no man can do those miracles that He did, unless God was with him.  Jesus replied by saying, "Verily, Verily, I say unto you, that except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God". Since Nicodemus said, how he could be born again. Jesus said to him, that Unless a man be born of water (by Water Baptism) and of the Spirit (by Baptism of the Holy Spirit), one cannot enter into the Spiritual Kingdom of God. Further he added that he must born again Spiritually.

THE WAY OF SALVATION:

Jesus said that God so loved the World, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16)"  Further Jesus added that He did not send His Son in to the  world, to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He also added that He that  believeth on him is not condemned, but he that does has not believe in Him, will be condemned. Jesus said even though there was light, people preferred to be in darkness, because their deeds were evil, and every one that doeth evil will hate the light, neither will he come to the light, because his deeds are wicked and evil.

JOHN THE BAPTIST:

John was baptizing people in water and made it clear to them, that He was not Christ, but he had been sent to prepare the way for Jesus to come.  In His humility, John also added that when Christ comes and begins to manifest His Divinity and Glory, his importance and Ministry will slowly fade away.  Then he concluded by saying that everyone that believes in Jesus, the Son of God, will have everlasting life.

 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION:

  • There is a difference between being Religious and being Spiritual

  • Religious people have a Tendency and Habit to blindly follow the Traditions without any Spiritual Knowledge and Experience

  • It is important for everyone of us to be born again Spiritually by receiving Jesus Christ by Faith, because He is the Son of God and the Savior of the World

  • It is important to be born of the Spirit and to obey God by taking Water Baptism, which is symbolic of the burial of our Sinful body and the Resurrection of the Spiritual Man in us

  • It is Emphatically stated in this chapter that God did not send His Son to condemn this world, but to save the world.

  • It is stressed in this chapter, that it is vital that everyone should believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God.

  • In conclusion, it is stated in this chapter, that the main and the only hindrance for people not getting saved is, because of their preference to continue to live in Sin, rather than confessing them, repent for them, ask for forgiveness and live a Holy and Righteous Life.  It is the sin, that separates man from the Holy and Righteous God!
