SPIRITUAL GROWTH

"........unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:13)
"....He also predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son..." (Romans 8:29)

1. WHAT IS SPIRITUAL GROWTH?

• It is growing in the Nature of God (who is a Spiritual Being)
• It is growing in Love      (I Corinthians 13)
• It is growing in Faith                  "
• It is growing in Peace                "
• It is growing in Joy                    "
• It is growing in Goodness          "
• It is growing in Gentleness        "
• It is growing in Long Suffering   "
• It is growing in Meekness          "
• It is growing in Self Control       "
• It is attaining the Stature and the Fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13)
• It is becoming like Jesus and doing the works of Jesus (John 14:12)
• It is becoming more Spiritual and less Carnal and Worldly
• It is growing in Holiness and Righteousness
• It is to be Spiritually minded and not Carnally minded
• It is to increase in the Power of God (Acts 1:8  )
• It is to increase in the Wisdom of God (Proverbs 3 & 4)
• It is to increase in the Riches of God (Malachi 3:10)
• It is to increase in the Creativity of God    (Exodus 31:3)

2. WHY SHOULD WE GROW SPIRITUALLY?

• To become the Sons and Daughters of God (John 1:12)
• To fulfill God's Plan and Will (Romans 8:29)
• To become like Jesus and to do His works (John 14:12)
• To go about every where and to do good (Acts 10:38)
• To destroy the works of the Devil
• To build the Kingdom of God
• To Preach the Gospel and Win Souls (John 15:16)
• To Heal the Sick and Cast the Demons (John 15)
• To Serve God
• To become a True Disciple of Jesus Christ (Mathew 28:19)

 3. HOW Can WE GROW SPIRITUALLY?

• By making a Decision to grow Spiritually
• By making this our Priority in Life
• By making any Sacrifice that we have to make for it
• By taking the counsel of God
• By studying the Word of God
• By being Discipled by a Godly man
• By being a Member of a Spiritual Church and Participating in all the Programs
• By Using the Church and the Home as the Training grounds
  for Spiritual Growth
• By Evaluating the progress that we make in the Spiritual dimension
• By Jotting down the areas in which we have failed to grow and to take necessary remedial action
• By giving Top Priority to Grow Spiritually and Willing to pay any Price for it!
