LONG SUFFERING |

I. What is Long Suffering? |
| 1. This is the Fruit of the Spirit |
| 2. This is a Sign of ones Spiritual Maturity |
| 3. This is a Spiritual Quality |
| 4. This is one of the Characteristics of God |
| 5. This quality was exhibited by the Father of the Prodigal Son |
| 6. This quality can be described as “not running out of Patience” |
| 7. This quality should be exhibited when someone Offends us or does something Wrong to us |
| 8. This characteristics cannot be exhibited or shown unless, one has the Love of Christ |
| 9. This quality demands that we forgive those who offend us, to start with |
| 10.This quality of Long Suffering goes beyond forgiving those who offend us |
| 11.This quality demands that we love the person who offend us |
| 12.Long Suffering further demands and to expect the attitude of the person
who offends us to
change, repent and to reconcile back with us |
| 13.This quality gives faith to us to expect Repentance, Reconciliation and
Restoration to takes place on the part of the offender |
| 14.This quality requires us to pray and intercede for the offender to
repent, regret and to be
restored and to be reconciled both with God and ourselves |
| 15.Long Suffering is being patient and having faith in this restoration,
reconciliation and reunion
back with the offender |
| 16. Long Suffering is not just being patient, tolerant or ignoring those who offend us |
|
II. Why should a person have Long Suffering? |
| 1. Because it is God's Nature and Quality |
| 2. Because God excepts us to be Spiritually Mature and to be like Him |
| 3. Because this is a part of an Act of Love which is the Greatest Commandment of God to us |
|
4.
Because only when some Spiritually Mature persons exhibit this
quality there will be |
|
III. How is this Spiritual Quality of Long-Suffering Exercised and Exhibited? |
|
1. By interceding for every sinner to repent and to be reconciled with
God and the one offended by them |
| 2. By doing exactly what the Father of the Prodigal Son did |
|
3. By Praying, Believing and Expecting the offender to repent and to
reconcile back with the one he offended |
|
4.
By growing spiritually and exhibiting the quality or attitude towards
all
those who in someway offend them, until they are reconciled back with God and them |
