II. What is Joy?
1. Joy is a Spiritual Characteristic or Quality
2. Joy is something that originates and comes from the Lord
3. Joy is intricately intertwined with peace, an another spiritual quality which God alone can give
4. Joy is something like spiritual waves that transcend the body, mind and spirit
5. Joy has Healing Power and the Ability to Resist Sickness
6. Joy is exhibited through Emotional Displays, but an emotional display which seems like
Joy, may not be the True Joy
that the Lord gives
7. Joy is distinct or different from happiness which the world may give
8. Joy is not just pleasure that one gets from a variety of sources and for a variety of reasons, unless it is spiritual and
comes from the Lord
9. True Joy being a Spiritual quality, is different from Good Feelings and Worldly Pleasures which has no Spiritual
Value or Significance
10. Those who seek worldly or physical pleasures that can be experienced by the five
physical senses such as sight,
hearing, smell, taste and the sense of touch is not the True Spiritual
Joy even though it may not be wrong or immoral
III. The Value of Joy
1. The joy keeps a person in good health and causes the sickness to leave
2. The joy adds peace to the person when he has it
3. The joy has with it the presence of God
4. The joy makes a person total and complete in himself, and does not make him feel
like something is missing or
needed
5. The joy is a characteristic and the nature of God himself
6. The joy is something that the world cannot give
7. The source of joy is God himself
8. The joy takes away the sadness and worry
9. The joy gives a great feeling of :
· Exuberance
· Splendor
· Fullness
·
Celebration
· Dancing
· Jubilance
· Leaping and Jumping
· Completeness
· Great Hope
· Glory &
· Peace

· God’s Presence
· The Word of God
· The Promises of God
· The Hope of Eternal Life
· The Assurance and Experience of Salvation
· The Second Coming of Jesus Christ
· The Millennial Rule
· The Divine Protection of God
· The Divine Health and Healing of God
· The Divine Prosperity
· The Anointing of the Holy Spirit
· The Answers to our Prayers
· The Act of Loving
· The Act of Giving
· Success and Victory
· Harvesting or Reaping
· Appropriating the Promises of God
