WHAT IS "FALLING INTO A TRANCE"?
|
- It is to be in
the Spirit
- It is to be numb
or unconscious to some extent physically and
become very much alive and become conscious spiritually
- It is to e aware
of and conscious of spiritual things
- It is to get our
spiritual faculties/senses (spiritual ear, eyes etc)
activated and sharpened
- It is to fall
into a deep sleep
- It is to slip
into the presence of God
- It is to be
wrapped up by the Holy Spirit
- It is to become
very receptive to spiritual things
- It is to explore
the Kingdom of God
- It is to
experience heaven or earth
- It is having an
encounter with God
- It is to be
engulfed by the Holy Spirit

2.
WHO FELL INTO A TRANCE, ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE ?
- Abraham (Genesis 15:2)
- Had
a deep sleep, saw a Vision, the Lord spoke and the Lord made a Covenant with God

Jacob (Genesis
33:23-28) - Jacob
was left alone -
Wrestled with God until the breaking of the day - then he said let me go except thou bless me - and he said unto him...... - far as a prince
hast thou power with God and with men, and you have prevailed over me

Moses: He
was in the presence of God - at the top of a Mountain - for 40 days
and 40 nights - without eating or drinking anything - he should have been in a trance

Isaiah (Isaiah
6:1-8) -
Isaiah saw the Lord seating upon a throne-high and lifted up - and his train filled the temple - he saw
Seraphim's and heard them cry "Holy, Holy is the Lord of the
Hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory..........." -he heard
go for us?" - then Isaiah said - "Whom shall I send and who will go for us? " -
then
Isaiah said - "Here am I send me" (Isaiah should have been
in a state of trance when God appeared and spoke to him)

Ezekiel (Ezekiel
1:27) - He
saw as the color of amber - as the appearance of fire round about within it.............. this was
the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the God and when I saw it I
fell upon my face and heard a voice of one that spoke

Daniel (Daniel
10:5-16) - Daniel
saw a man clothed in Linen, his body was like beryl, his face as the appearance of
lightening, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and feet like in color to polished braze and the voice of his words like the
voice of a multitude
Daniel saw a vision - The men that were with him saw not the vision - a great quaking fell upon them - and they fled to hide themselves
- I was lest alone and saw this great vision - there remind no
strength in me - I heard the voice of his words - then was I in a deep sleep -
a hand touched me - he said unto me, Oh Daniel, a man greatly beloved,
understand the words that I speak unto thee- now I come to make the understand what shall be fall by people in the later days - one like
the similitude of the sons of men touch my lips - then I opened my mouth
and speak)

Paul (Acts
22:17-18) - When
Paul went to Jerusalem to a temple and prayed - he was in trance - ........he heard God saying
unto him - make haste - and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem........

James, Peter and
John (Matthew 17:18) - Jesus
took Peter, James and John to a high mountain - he was transfigured before them - his face did shine as the sun - and his raiment was
white as light - there appeared unto them Moses and Elias - Peter said Lord,
it is good for us to be here if thou wilt let us make three
tabernacles ..............a bright cloud over shadowed them........a voice out of
the cloud said "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased;
here ye him ........ when the disciples heard it they fell on their
face........

John (Revelation
1:10) - I
was in the spirit on the Lord's day - and heard behind me a great voice - as of a
trumpet...............
(The Lord took him (his spirit) for a heavenly tour and asked him to write everything he saw)

Daniel (Daniel
8:18) - As
he was speaking with me - I was
in a deep sleep............but he touched me and set me up right

HOW CAN WE FALL INTO A TRANCE ?
|
- By having a
desire to have such an experience
- By inviting the
Holy Spirit to come and fill us
- By thirsting and
hungering for the Holy Spirit
- By having an
Anointed servant of God laying hands on us
- By forgetting
about everything and concentrating on God
- By reaching out
to God through prayer
|
|
4. WHY SHOULD WE
FALL INTO A TRANCE ?
|
- To have a
personal encounter with God
- To have a
personal touch of God
- To hear the voice
of God
- To see visions of
God and Heaven
- To have fullness
Joy or a holy laughter
- To be spiritually
refreshed and renewed
- To be healed,
delivered and to receive or experience a miracle
- To have a
foretaste of heaven
- To experience
heaven on earth
- To be renewed and
strengthened spiritually
- To forget about
everything and to have some rest and refreshing in
the presence of God
- To have a glimpse
of God and His glory
- To smell the
aroma and the fragrance of Heaven and God
