Every Church can be a Bible School

The great commission that the Lord gave to his disciples was not only to go into all the world and to preach the gospel to every preacher, but he also told them to go and make disciples of all nations. In order to accomplish this monumental task of going into all the world and preaching the gospel to every preacher, it is important to first make disciples of all nations.

Discipleship is the process of recruiting and discipling persons not only to follow Jesus, become like Jesus, but also do what Jesus did. Therefore, discipleship is an important task that should be carried out by every Church. Churches should not merely be places of worship, prayer, gathering and having fellowship with one another etc. But every Church must also function like a Bible School. In a span of 3-4 years (God discipled the first 12 disciples in three and a half years) every Church should put every member through a basic discipleship training program, comparable to the way students are taught, trained and discipled in a Bible College in a span of 3-4 years.

A very practical and viable plan to do this is given below, and it is recommended strongly that in this fashion, every Church should be converted into a Bible School. During this period, the Church should maintain records about the progress made by each member in pursuing this discipleship plan conducted in a fashion described below. Record keeping is essential, and as you know records are maintained even in heaven about the life of every person living on the planet earth, and they are going to be rewarded according to their works as per the record maintained in heaven.

A well thought out, viable plan of discipleship without radically changing the manner in which the Churches are conducted normally is given below.

It is also important that during this 3 year discipleship training plan adequate opportunities must be given to each participant to get necessary Bible counseling, not only to identify solutions to his own problems in his life and to clearly discern and discover God's will and purpose for his life. Therefore, even during this span of 3 years every one should be able to do the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ in their free time to the extent possible applying the principles they learn and using their gifts and talents that they have been endeavored with.

Normally, what an average believer gets from the Church spiritually is neither recorded nor recognized. In the day and time in which we are living recognition and certification of one's knowledge, qualifications and training must be properly certified to do the ministry in a lawful and acceptable manner without violating the laws of the country. Proper Church authorities should monitor the learning that takes place during this discipleship training program, keeping adequate records and eventually issuing appropriate certificates or credentials certifying that they have been fully trained and qualified to perform the duties as an Evangelist, Pastor, Clergymen, Chaplin, Bible College Professor etc. in an excellent and proper way.
